Todi Festival is a cultural event , which includes theatre, music and dance and takes place every year on the main square of the town, Piazza del Popolo, and the Town Theatre which are a few steps far away from the hotel.
It is a well-known art exhibition that started in 1986 and has arrived at its 35th anniversary.
The festival has gained, over years, a high prestige making it famous throughout the world of the Italian show.
This event is also a meeting point of the most important names in show business, as De Sica, Silvano Spada, Maurizio Costanzo and Simona Marchini.

Todi OFF
Todi Off is the section of Todi Festival dedicated to contemporary Italian dance and theatre, aimed at putting the public in contact with independent theatre. The festival is organized by Teatro di Sacco, in collaboration with Teatro e Critica.
Now at his 5th edition, Todi Off has got more than 450 partecipations. The 6 selected plays will be part of a larger programme including:
· meeting with the public about the previous night’show
· a public meeting about independent theatre in Italy
· the theatre critic workshop
· daily news paper
The selected plays, five of which are absolute debut and one is a national preview, will take place from 28th August to 5th September at the beautiful Teatro Nido dell’Acquila. Here they are:
Il bambolo by Irene Petra Zani, with Linda Caridi, directed by Giampiero Judica;
Oriri by Paolo Rosini | Bambula project;
Rimini by RMN Group, in collaboration with Ginkgo Teatro;
Acqua Viva with Elena Arvigo da Clarice Lispector;
Hu|Or|ME by Kinesis CDC;
Eufemia by Giorgia Lolli.
The Call was open to give the possibility to participate to many and heterogeneus theatre and dance proposals, which were blocked or slowed down due to the medical emergency.
To conclude, as for the aesthetic, this edition will be dedicated above all to dance and visual art, with the contamination of multimedial language. Anyway, contemporary prose won’t be missing. As is the last edition we can expect an amazing dialogue among contrasts.
